The phenolic compounds and the antioxidant potential of infusion of herbs from the Brazilian Amazonian region

► We studied nine varieties of popularly consumed herbs from Brazilian amazon. ► B. ungulata showed high content of total phenolic compounds and antioxidant capacity. ► The HPLC/DAD method was successfully applied for methanol extracts of herbs.
