The cosmogenic record of mountain erosion transmitted across a foreland basin: Source-to-sink analysis of in situ10Be, 26Al and 21Ne in sediment of the Po river catchment

- We constrained mountain erosion rates of 0.5 mm/yr in Po basin from in situ10Be.
- Sediment routing from source to sink from in situ10Be and sediment gauging.
- Sediment fluxes from Alpine and Apennine sources to Po delta by cosmogenic 10Be.
- Effective routing of sediment across Po basin constrained over kyr-time scales.
- Long-term 10Be sediment fluxes of 30 Mt/yr are factor 3-4 higher than modern loads.
