Thermal optimization of PCM based pin fin heat sinks: An experimental study

► Experimental investigations on phase change material based pin fin heat sinks. ► PCM materials: n-eicosane, paraffin wax; Heat sink material - aluminium. ► Baseline comparisons with a heat sink filled with PCM, without any fin. ► ANN - GA algorithm to maximize operating time for the n-eicosane heat sink. ► The resulting optimum valid even for paraffin wax based PCM too.
