Experimental investigation of turbulent natural convection in a vertical water channel with symmetric heating: Flow and heat transfer

► We built an experimental setup to study free convection in a water vertical channel. ► The heated walls are under isoflux conditions. ► We measure velocity (by LDV system) and temperature in the channel. ► We present first results for five heat flux conditions. ► We observed a transition in the flow driven by the global shear in the channel.
