Estimating benefits of Spatial Data Infrastructures: A case study on e-Cadastres

► We surveyed 44 European Cadastral Agencies to assess benefits of e-Government. ► The difference between online and paper-based Cadastral services was assessed. ► Seventy-one percentage of the surveyed agencies provide more than half of all their services on-line. ► Efficiency for users of on-line services increases in terms of both time and costs. ► Users could save up to €7 billion, with a complete shift to on-line services.
