PIECEWISE-LINEAR APPROXIMATION OF NONLINEAR CELLULAR GROWTH

In this paper, the piece wise-linear approximations of nonlinear cellular growth using orthonormal canonical piecewise linear functions are developed. The approximation method is presented and validated with satisfactory results. Future directions to hybrid control using this approximation are introduced.
