Determination of As and Hg in acetic acid extract by vapor generation coupled to atomic spectrometry for solid waste classification

► Direct determination of As and Hg by vapor generation atomic spectrometry in acetic medium is proposed. ► Vapor generation reaction directly in acetic acid medium was carried out. ► Analysis of solid waste leachate is recommended by USEPA and NBR (Brazil) for classification.
