Isolation and characterization of fifteen polymorphic microsatellite loci in the threatened freshwater mussel Solenaia oleivora (Bivalvia: Unionidae)

► This is the first report on the isolation of microsatellites in Solenaia oleivora. ► The characterization of 15 polymorphic loci was tested in a population. ► All loci will be useful for resources assessment and conservation of S. oleivora.
