Development of four multiplex PCRs in the Zhikong scallop (Chlamys farreri) and their validation in parentage assignment

► Four multiplex PCR assays were developed for the Zhikong scallop. ► They were useful for multiplexed microsatellite systems in parentage assignment. ► We evaluated and validated these multiplex PCRs in 12 full-sib families. ► Results have important implications in genetic studies in the species.
