- FuCS-1 is a nontoxic and water-soluble depolymerized glycosaminoglycan obtained from the sea cucumber Thelenota anana.
- FuCS-1 exhibited strong anti-HIV activities for laboratory HIV-1 strain, clinical isolated strains, drug-resistant strains, and HIV-2.
- FuSC-1 potently inhibited HIV entry to cells, so probably it has potential to be further developed as novel HIV-1 entry inhibitor.
