Synthesis of branched seven-membered 1-N-iminosugars and their evaluation as glycosidase inhibitors

Four branched seven-membered iminosugars have been synthesized from a common precursor and assayed on a panel of 22 glycosidases. One of them displays moderate inhibition (IC50 118 μM) toward l-fucosidase.
