Facile synthesis and characterization of carbon nanotubes/silver nanohybrids coated with polyaniline

► MWNTs/silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)/polyanilinecomposites were prepared efficiently. ► MWNTs were decorated with Ag NPs and then coated with PANI layers. ► The composites had nanotubular morphology with an average diameter of 15-20 nm. ► The composites with 10% Ag had high electrical conductivities of up to 15.4 S cm−1. ► The composites had high electrochemical activities and good cyclic stabilities.
