Stochastic inverse modeling of nonlinear roll damping moment of a ship

▸ A method for identifying nonlinear damping moment of a ship was proposed. ▸ The method relies on the stochastic inverse modeling. ▸ The workability of the method was proved through the laboratory tests. ▸ Results show that the method is applicable to both transient and forced motion.
