A modification of the method of characteristics: A new class of multidimensional partially integrable nonlinear systems

► A new class of partially integrable PDEs in arbitrary dimension is introduced. ► A special method is developed for reducing dimensionality of such PDEs by one. ► It is shown that the initial value problem may be formulated. ► A possible application in hydrodynamics is given in example.
