Purification and identification of cell surface antigens using lamprey monoclonal antibodies

► We isolated monoclonal VLR antibodies to cell surface antigens of human lymphocytes. ► VLR antibodies are applicable in multiple laboratory techniques. ► VLR antibodies were used for mass spectrometry-based antigen identification. ► High avidity of multimeric VLR counteracts low affinity of the individual VLR unit.
