Cosmic history and a candidate parent asteroid for the quasicrystal-bearing meteorite Khatyrka

- We measured He and Ne in olivine-rich grains from the CV chondrite Khatyrka.
- We find a short cosmic-ray exposure age of a few million years.
- The meteorite experienced a relatively recent (∼600 Ma) shock event.
- Khatyrka might be a fragment of the young Julia asteroid family.
