Comparison is made among electrode-related ion dynamics in gold-anoded glass samples of AgPO3, NaPO3, and Na2O-2B2O3 to biasings with a DC pulse train, measured at respective temperatures at which ionic conductivities are the same, 2Ã10â5 S/cm. It is found that the response is strongly dependent on the temperature; that is, the higher the temperature, the more easier is the formation of the positive and negative ion-depleted region underneath the anode by which the conduction current decays with time. Intermittent biasings enable us to see shuttling motion of the positive ions, moving toward the cathode on biasing but moving in the reverse direction on off biasing.
