Effects of water extract from anaerobic fermented Toona sinensis Roemor on the expression of antioxidant enzymes in the Sprague-Dawley Rats

► Water extracts of fermented Toona sinensis Roem (WFTS) increase CAT and GPx activities in rats. ► WFTS may boost transcription for CAT, GPx and SOD. ► Malondialdehyde level of liver and brain in SD rates were not affected by the feeding of WFTS.
