► SANP solution with improved penetrability is due to formation of nanoparticles. ► Uniform PEO/SANP film is due to restriction in formation of bigger particles. ► Anticorrosion PEO/SANP film is attributed to stability of phytic acid inhibitor. ► PEO/SANP/paint film has good service performance due to chemical combinations.
