Yttria-stabilized zirconia thin films deposited by pulsed-laser deposition and magnetron sputtering

► YSZ films with (111) preferred crystalline orientation are grown by PLD and RMS. ► PLD films are dense and featureless, RMS films show a compact columnar structure. ► 1 μm YSZ films can be deposited on a rough and porous anode support (NiO -YSZ cermet).
