Structural and spectral investigations of Rhodamine (Rh6G) dye-silica core-shell nanoparticles

► Rhodamine (Rh6G) dye-silica core-shell nanoparticles have recent scientific and technological importance. ► The samples synthesized by sol-gel technique exhibit excellent micro-structural, optical and photoluminescence properties. ► Investigated optical parameters may be utilized in the design and fabrication of dye sensitized optical devices.
