Classification of some Butler groups of infinite rank

A new class of torsion-free abelian groups of infinite rank is introduced. Groups of this class are defined as epimorphic images of local acd-groups which admit a special direct decomposition. The main theorems classify the groups from this class up to near-isomorphism for infinite rank groups (a generalization of traditional near-isomorphism notion).
