Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial activity of some nickel, cadmium and mercury complexes of 5-methyl pyrazole-3yl-N-(2′-methylthiophenyl) methyleneimine, (MPzOATA) ligand

New Ni(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) complexes of a pyrazole based Schiff base ligand, MPzOATA, have been synthesized and physico-chemically & spectroscopically characterized. The structural conformations of the reported complex species have beenestablished by single crystal X-ray studies. Theemission properties and the antimicrobial activities of the metal ion materials have been reported.252
