Multifunctional flavonoid dioxygenases: Flavonol and anthocyanin biosynthesis in Arabidopsis thaliana L.

Flavonol synthase and anthocyanidin synthase are “multifunctional” enzymes showing distinct side activities in vitro, which were shown to be relevant in vivo for flavonol and anthocyanin synthesis.
