The photo-catalytic activities of MP (M = Ba, Ca, Cu, Sr, Ag; P = PO43−, HPO42−) microparticles

- Five kinds of apatite microparticles were developed as photocatalysts.
- They showed higher photocatalytic activity than TiO2 for methyl orange degradation.
- Calculation results showed PO43− in the materials helped the e−/h+ separation.
- The low cost apatite materials were promising in photocatalytic application.
