Exfoliated Pd/HNb3O8 nanosheet as highly efficient bifunctional catalyst for one-pot cascade reaction

- Ultrathin and highly acidic HNb3O8 nanosheet was prepared by exfoliation of layered niobium oxide.
- Pd/HNb3O8 nanosheet showed excellent catalytic performance for one-pot cascade reaction.
- The reaction performance of Pd/HNb3O8 nanosheet is 7.1 and 1.2 times higher than that of layered Pd/KNb3O8 or Pd/HNb3O8, respectively.
- Significant promoting effect of support acidity on the reaction performance was observed.
