Fabrication of nano-structured TiO2 coatings using a microblast deposition technique

► Well adhered nanostructured coatings were deposited using agglomerated nanoparticles. ► Minimal damage to the substrates waswas observed. ► Deposition process postulated to be due to ionic bonding and charge effects. ► No change in the crystalline phase post deposition was observed. ► A 5-fold increaseresulting in photocurrent density was obtained on thermal treatment.
