Novel type of magnetic response in carbon nanomaterials

Entering of six vortices into one of the molecular orbitals of benzene at high magnetic field. Similar phenomena will also occur in large nanographenes, but at much lower field. This controls the response properties, such as the magnetic dipole moment and the magnetic susceptibility.
