Femtosecond dynamics of a cardiotonic medicine (milrinone) in neutral water

A femtosecond emission study of milrinone, a medicine used to attenuate heart attack disease, unravels ultrafast dynamics (in less than 150 fs) in water assigned to S2 relaxation and intramolecular-charge transfer reaction to produce a relaxed charge transfer state which undergoes a 10 ps dynamics attributed to vibrational relaxation/cooling and twisting in this formed structure. The results might be useful for drugs and medicine design.
