Raman electron spin-lattice relaxation with the Debye-type and with real phonon spectra in crystals

► Electron spin-lattice relaxation of Ti2+ and Cu2+ is governed by Raman processes. ► The relaxation time 1/T1 theory using real phonon spectra of a crystal is presented. ► Debye approximation underestimates 1/T1 at low and overestimated at high temperature.
