Use of DGGE and COMPOCHIP for investigating bacterial communities of various vermicomposts produced from different wastes under dissimilar conditions

► Bacterial communities of four vermicomposts from different wastes were studied. ► Bacterial communities of the vermicomposts had an average similarity near 80%. ► Bacterial communities are mainly related with vermicomposts' chemical features. ► The presence of a core of common bacteria was evidenced in all vermicompost types. ► Vermicompost quality as bioactive material can be assessed by COMPOCHIP analysis.
