Chiral BINAP-based hierarchical porous polymers as platforms for efficient heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis

Chiral porous organic polymers were obtained via the copolymerization of divinyl-BINAP and divinyl benzene. The heterogeneous catalyst Ru/5-BINAP@POPs-1 exhibited good activity (yield >99%, ee = 95%) and could be reused for 6 runs in the asymmetric hydrogenation of β-keto esters.
