i-Motif based pH induced electrochemical switches

► An intermolecular i-motif based electrochemical switch (i-switch) was described. ► The structure of i-motif varied with the change of pH at slight acidic and neutral or basic solution. ► This i-switch has a response to the pH, and it may be used for the proton detection.
