DNS analysis of turbulent mixing in two-phase flows

► In liquid-gas flows, the interface evolved with the turbulent flow. ► Recent progresses in numeric allow for a direct resolution of both flow and interface. ► Direct resolution is applied to study interface deformation, vaporization and mixing. ► Turbulence, interface and mixing are studied statistically. ► Scalar PDF does not fit anymore the beta function used in combustion modeling.
