Surface properties and anti-fouling assessment of coatings obtained from perfluoropolyethers and ceramic oxides nanopowders deposited on stainless steel

Multilayers coatings made of ceramic oxides nanoparticles and α,ω-functionalized perfluoropolyethers (PFPE) have hydrophobic properties and enhanced resistance against liquid erosion compared to simple PFPE coatings; they can be applied for fouling mitigation on metal surfaces.
