Cytoarchitectonical dynamic of Sertoli cells in Melanorivulus punctatus (Cyprinodontiformes: Rivulidae)

► Sertoli cells have cytoplasmic extensions that provide the conformation of cysts in the lobes. ► Each cyst is sustained for more than one Sertoli cell. ► The arrangement of the Sertoli cells between cysts has a reticulated appearance. ► The Sertoli cells lining the ducts assume rectangular shape with rounded nucleus. ► The change in Sertoli cells disposal is similar to that observed in Atherinomorpha.
