Morphology of spermatozoa of Dissomphalus connubialis (Ashmead, 1893) (Hymenoptera: Bethylidae)

► The accessory microtubules are the first to terminate in the final portion of the flagellum, differing from other Aculeata studied. ► The Mitochondrial derivative showed a small quantity of cristae and absence of paracrystalline material. ► The nucleus of spermatozoa of D. connubialis contains the largest cavity of all the Hymenoptera studied to date.
