The effect of post-treatments on the powder morphology of titanium dioxide (TiO2) powders synthesized for cold spray

► The synthesized TiO2 powder can be cold sprayed with thickness about 100 μm. ► The TiO2 powder is synthesized via the hydrolysis of titanyl sulfate. ► The post synthesis treatments affect the nanostructure of TiO2 powders. ► Only TiO2 with unique oriented aggregated structure can be cold sprayed. ► The cold spraying of TiO2 is a breakthrough as it is known to be difficult.
