Self-organized gold nanostructures on laser patterned PET

►Irradiation of PET with linearly polarized light from a pulsed KrF laser. ►The structure period was controlled by variation of the incidence angle. ►Gold layers were deposited onto nano-patterned PET by sputtering and evaporation. ►Evaporation leads to a continuous metal coverage copying the nanostructured polymer. ►Sputtering leads to formation of isolated nano-wires.
