Multiple zirconia interphase for SiC/SiCf composites

►The multiple ZrO2 interphase for SiC/SiCf composites was developed. ►Layer-to-layer bonding within the interphase is weak. ►Such microstructure of the interphase promotes decoupling of the fibers from matrix. ►The interfacial frictional stresses can be regulated by designing of the interphase.
