The physical and chemical properties of plasma treated ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fibers

► UHMWPE fiber surfaces were oxidized by atmospheric pressure plasma treatment. ► Hansen Solubility Parameters (HSP) is useful for characterization of fiber surfaces. ► HSP indicates two distinctive regions corresponding to original and oxidized PE.
