Gene expression and IG-DMR hypomethylation of maternally expressed gene 3 in developing corticospinal neurons

► Multiple transcript variants of imprinted gene Meg3 expressed in cerebral cortex. ► Layer V neurons in the developing cortex express long isoforms of Meg3. ► Developing corticospinal neurons can be purified from Fezf2-EGFP transgenic mice. ► Meg3 is expressed in developing corticospinal neurons but not in neuron progenitors. ► Meg3 expression inversely correlates with the methylation of control region IG-DMR.
