► Nonlinear optical GVP crystals were synthesized. ► Single crystal XRD report confirms that the grown GVP crystal belongs to the orthorhombic. ► The lower cut off wavelength is observed at 450 nm. ► The NMR studies confirms the environment of carbon and hydrogen in GVP crystal. ► The SHG test confirms the GVP crystal is NLO crystal.
