Bifunctional Fe3O4@C/YVO4:Sm3+ composites with the core-shell structure

► Bifunctional Fe3O4@C/YVO4:Sm3+ composites with core-shell structure were synthesized. ► Their structure, magnetic and luminescent properties are researched. ► The composites displayed a strong red-orange emission and ferrimagnetic behavior.
