Semistability of certain bundles on second symmetric power of a curve

Let CC be a smooth irreducible projective curve and EE be a stable bundle of rank 2 on CC. Then one can associate a rank 4 vector bundle F2(E)F2(E) on S2(C)S2(C), the second symmetric power of CC. Our goal in this article is to study semistability of this bundle.
