Photodissociation of gaseous propionyl chloride at 248Â nm by time-resolved Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy

If the HCl fragment is significantly contributed from the hot Cl reaction, its yield should have been suppressed by the addition of Br2. Our results suggest that such a contribution from secondary reaction of Cl + C2H5COCl should be negligible.
