Comment on “Microstructure and mechanical properties of Al-nano/micro SiC composites produced by stir casting technique” by K. Amouri et al. [Mater. Sci. Eng. A 674 (2016) 569-578]

Recently, Amouri et al. [1] have investigated the microstructure and mechanical properties of stir casted Al-nano/micro SiC composites. Their paper contains interesting results. However, we believe that some incorrect reasons have been presented for the obtained results in the case of the effect of SiC particles in decreasing the dendrite lengths of α-Al.
