Cyclic-RGDfK peptide conjugated succinoyl-TPGS nanomicelles for targeted delivery of docetaxel to integrin receptor over-expressing angiogenic tumours

Succinoyl-TPGS (TPSA) was synthesised by a ring opening reaction between TPGS and succinic anhydride. Docetaxel-loaded, carboxy-terminated TPSA nanomicelles (DNM) were prepared by solvent evaporation and characterised by different analytical techniques. Integrin-targetable nanomicelles (PDNM) were developed by grafting cRGDfK peptide on the surface of DNM. The PDNM displayed small particle size, controlled drug release, high physicochemical stability and enhanced anticancer activity of encapsulated docetaxel.232
