Synthesis and transmembrane anion/cation symport activity of a rigid bis(choloyl) conjugate functionalized with guanidino groups

A rigid bis(choloyl) conjugate functionalized with guanidino groups was synthesized and found to exhibit potent ionophoric activity, presumably via an anion/cation symport process.
