SELECTING REVISITED DESTINATIONS

Unlike previous studies in repeat visitation, this study tries to understand the decision making process of repeat visitation at the group level and used performed revisit behavior as a dependent variable. Study results suggest that the novelty seeking tendency influences the early stage of the decision making process, but does not directly affect the final destination selection. Rather the partner’s influences and constraints play significant roles in choosing the final destination. A place found previously satisfying is considered as only one of the alternative destinations for the next trip, and repeat visitors are highly likely to choose the final destination through an extended decision making process.
